The Spanish authorities has sacked its spy main Paz Esteban amid a twin phone-hacking scandal involving Pegasus adware, the country’s protection minister said right now.
The Countrywide Intelligence Center (CNI) that Esteban headed confronted controversy not too long ago for reportedly employing Pegasus, developed by Israel’s NSO Team, to spy on leaders of the Catalan independence motion.
CNI was also criticized for its failure to protect against the telephones of Primary Minister Pedro Sanchez and other officials from being hacked by an unnamed international entity employing the Pegasus spyware.
