Once signed into law, the bill will inspire community and federal legislation enforcement companies to report cybercrime in their jurisdictions to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The Bureau will be necessary to report cybercrime metrics and cyber enabled crime types, as it previously does for other sorts of house crimes.
The new legislation supports the creation of a classification technique that can be employed to categorize a variety of cybercrimes. It authorizes a analyze at the Nationwide Academies of Science “to create a taxonomy for cybercrime incidents in session with federal, state, nearby, and tribal stakeholders, criminologists, and company leaders that would inform the FBI’s reporting of cybercrime and cyber-enabled criminal offense.”
