Monetary disclosure filings describe a ransomware attack that sent a weak punch.
Top rated toymaker Mattel exposed it was a target of a ransomware attack that correctly encrypted some facts and temporarily crippled a confined range of organization features. The disclosure was section of a U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure filed in late October.
Mattel noted the attack occurred on July 28, 2020 and that, for the most section, it was mitigated promptly and had a minimal influence on the business.
“Promptly upon detection of the attack, Mattel began enacting its reaction protocols and having a collection of measures to halt the attack and restore impacted units. The Mattel attack revelation represents the latest incident that is part of a string of noted ransomware incidents versus large corporations and the health care business.
