Arturia has released Brute Noir editions of its preferred mid-tier monophonic synths, the MiniBrute 2 and MiniBrute 2S. It also introduced a minimal Brute Noir edition of its DrumBrute Impact analog drum machine. All the versions are all-black instead than gray, so they might charm to musicians who want that aesthetic or the exclusivity of a minimal edition design.
As a reminder, the MiniBrute 2 is a monophonic synth that’s semi-modular in that it has a first rate-sized patchbay for rerouting the synth’s signal, but it can also make appears correct out of the box. Other features consist of a pair of VCOs, two LFOs and the 25-take note, velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch and twin-oscillator Brute Voice. The MiniBrute 2s lacks the keyboard but features a 64-stage sequencer for “vintage synth workflow and punchy Brute character.”

The DrumBrute Affect, in the meantime, is Arturia’s entry level 10-voice analog drum equipment. It is modernized with “gnarly FM,” Arturia states, along with polyrythmic sequencing and a crafted-in distortion circuit. Arturia did not reveal unique pricing for the Brute Noir editions forward of publication, but the standard MiniBrute 2 and MiniBrute 2s versions are $499, although the DrumBrute Impression is $299 at Amazon.
