8 Aeroflot Airways employees have been arrested in the US for allegedly smuggling $50 million well worth of costly electronic equipment like Apple iPhones, iPads, and Watches to Russia.
According to a release by the United States Lawyer Workplace for the Japanese District of New York, 10 workers of the Aeroflot Airways have been charged for the offence. Even though 8 of them have been arrested, 2 other people are deemed fugitives. Also, the Division of Condition has revoked visas of 113 Aeroflot workforce suspected to be component of the smuggling racket.
The accused are Akmal Asadov, Sayuz Daibagya, Anton Perevoznikov, Shohruh Saidov, Marat Shadkin, Kirill Sokhonchuk, Azamat Bobomurodov and Zokir Iskanderov.
