Kolkata: Researchers from G S Sanyal School of Telecommunication at IIT Kharagpur have made a UAV-assisted communication infrastructure for 5G that can serve as an airborne cellular telecom tower for the duration of emergencies. The process includes an android-dependent application fitted to a fleet of drones which are programmed to generate unexpected emergency interaction networks from the closest obtainable cell towers, an IIT Kharagpur statement said on Thursday.

The workforce of scientists has submitted the section-I report to the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology which is funding the undertaking.
The researchers are open to the commercialisation of this clever UAV technique.
“The potential customers of this program are wide-ranging. Apart from a catastrophe predicament, these good drones can be utilized for group management. In agriculture, these UAVs can be utilized for crop overall health checking,” the researchers mentioned.
