Judging from the 1st spherical of images, Seyfried absolutely captures the wide-eyed magnetism of Holmes. It is really also surprising to see the fantastic Naveen Andrews (Dropped, Sense8) as Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, Theranos’ previous COO and Holmes’ former boyfriend. According to Hulu, the collection will abide by “an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly incorrect. How did the world’s youngest self-designed woman billionaire drop it all in the blink of an eye?”
Theranos managed to raise over $700 million from buyers thanks to its seemingly miraculous machine, the Edison. It was a blood testing equipment that was meant to exam for a huge selection of ailments. But of study course, it was all a lie. Reporting from the Wall Road Journal and some others uncovered that the firm’s technology by no means essentially labored. Ultimately, the SEC charged Theranos, Holmes and Balwani with “significant fraud.”
Alex Gibney’s HBO documentary, The Inventor, did a serviceable career of masking the drama all over Theranos, and Holmes’ abnormal mystique. But there’s also a great deal of floor to go over in a remarkable adaptation.
