Barnes & Noble has revealed its most recent Nook e-reader, a far more finances-friendly model of the Nook GlowLight 4 it declared in December. The Nook Glowlight 4e prices $30 considerably less than the prior model but, as you might expect, there are some tradeoffs.
The e-viewers share a very similar design and style, with comfortable-contact casing and actual physical buttons for turning web pages. Even so, at 212DPI, the GlowLight 4e has a lower-resolution exhibit than the GlowLight 4, which has a 6-inch, 300DPI display screen. You will find less storage too, with 8GB instead of 32GB. Rather than a month of promised battery lifestyle, Barnes & Noble suggests the GlowLight 4e will run “for months” on a one charge.
Other than all those differences, the two products seem alike. They each support USB-C charging and have a constructed-in anti-glare display screen protector with scratch resistance.
At $120, the Nook GlowLight 4e is $30 additional pricey than the base Kindle. However, for those looking for an e-reader which is not tied to Amazon, it might be truly worth checking out.
Pre-orders for the Nook GlowLight 4e are now open up. It will ship on June 7th.
