The City of Dallas in Texas, US, has confirmed a ransomware attack took down vital services, including some 911 dispatch systems.
“Wednesday morning, the City’s security checking equipment notified our Security Operations Middle (SOC) that a likely ransomware attack experienced been launched in just our ecosystem,” the Town wrote in a push release. “Subsequently, the Town has confirmed that a range of servers have been compromised with ransomware, impacting various useful regions, like the Dallas Law enforcement Section Web site.”
At the time of crafting, the web page of the Dallas Police Section remains unavailable.
