Hacktivists have reportedly downed the website of Uganda Law enforcement in the wake of protests brought on by the arrest of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also regarded by his pop star alias, Bobi Wine.
Wine is the presidential applicant of the heart-left progressive political party, the Countrywide Unity Platform (NUP). He was arrested in Japanese Uganda’s Luuka District and billed with violating govt restrictions on gatherings put in position to slow the spread of COVID-19 by keeping mass rallies.
Nicholas Opiyo, Wine’s law firm, reported that the Iganga Court unveiled the singer on bail in the afternoon of Friday, November 20. According to RedPepper Electronic, the Uganda Law enforcement internet site went down later that similar night time.

Last week, Ugandan officials stated that 37 folks experienced been killed in violent protests in the country as Wine’s supporters clashed with security forces.
Uganda Police’s main pathologist, Moses Byaruhanga, said that whilst it was not very clear who was accountable for the fatalities, most of the folks whose lives had been snatched away from them by violence died from gunshot wounds and traumatic injuries.
Opiyo reported the arrest of Wine was an attempt to stifle the voice of the country’s strongest political challenger to Uganda’s longtime chief Yoweri Museveni ahead of elections scheduled to just take put early following 12 months.
